Vivamex was founded in 1998 by experienced consultancy project managers who had used IT recruitment services themselves and felt a better service could be provided. The different approach we bring includes:
- Only sending you 2-3 candidate CV’s at a time, but all of them viable and credible
- Having experienced technical consultants on our staff, able to discuss your vacancies in terms of your overall business objectives and wider IT environment.
- Assessing the final cut of CV’s by hand - using our own extensive knowledge to discard false matches such as candidates who only managed others with a desired skill whereas you wanted hands on expertise, and vice-versa.
- Appreciating subtle skill distinctions such as those between SQL Server DBA’s and SQL Server Developers or C# winforms and C# webforms.
- Focussing primarily on candidates who are actively seeking work and are keen to move.
- Asking genuinely technical questions. Our in house experts put their questions verbally and gauge not just the answer but the clarity of thought behind it.
- Looking for candidates who can communicate what they do, just as well as doing it.
- Early checking of the major causes of late breaking hiring failure: Travel distance, availability, rate and UK working rights. The most technically skilled contractor is not always the best matched contractor.
Finally and importantly: Many elements of this successful approach are clearly “search and selection” rather than agency, yet we charge no more than less knowledgeable competitors.
