Business Analyst - Insurance MI, City

Business Analyst required by large insurance company in City. They are looking for someone who can understand insurance based business requirements and translate them into IT systems definitions. You would then have complete life cycle involvement ensuring the solution whether in house or external complies to your original definition and delivers business benefit. The job is in a great location at the heart of the City near Lloyds and would suit someone with a background in insurance (preferably commercial but other market strands with similar concepts will suffice) and MI solutions including especially Datawarehouses and star schema data layouts. As a key company player in any such project you will also have experience of management, structured development and testing methods - sufficient to ensure that in house or third party suppliers are delivering your solutions efficiently and accurately. Alongside the Systems Project Manager you will be the absolute lynch-pin of the company's insurance business and management information efforts. Knowledge of Cognos toolset is a useful extra. However this remains a Business Analyst position and your insurance, analysis and management skills will be those primarily relied upon
