CAD / CAM Operator

CAD Operator/Engineer/Technician (expert) required by solutions vendor to enthuse and assist other users and clients. This position would ideally suit an experienced CAD/CAM 3D modelling user looking for a move to a more varied role. It involves a people centric approach to tasks such as advice and discussion on how toolsets can be applied to solve problems, assisting with system implementation and training others in addition to keeping your own skills at class leading levels and broadening them out into other areas. Working as an expert within one of the main UK CAD/CAM vendors itself you will, if you have not already, have ample opportunity to establish yourself firmly in the industry community at large. The skills our client is seeking include a decent working knowledge of ProEngineer or possibly other packages such as SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, SDRC Ideas, CATIA, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop or similar. A broad based knowledge of related subject areas such as Product Data Management (PDM), Product Life cycle Management (PLM), mechanical analysis and software implementation would also be an advantage. Given the training, support and discussion elements you will of course also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and like talking about CAD/CAM as much as you like implementing it.
